In 2006, The Decatur City Schools Foundation gave the school system a $15,000 grant to buy 19 InterWrite School Pads with projectors. This Bluetooth wireless pad helps a teacher to teach from anywhere in the classroom or pass it to a student to contribute from their desk. Software included with every Interwrite Pad includes thousands of images and resources to create interactive lessons by allowing teachers to annotate, highlight or make notes over any computer program. Teachers can save, print or e-mail lessons and all notations to students who are away from class.
"I enjoy using the Interwrite Pad to enhance my presentations with annotations, drawings and graphs. I use the Interwrite Pad to work out problems without having the constrictions of having to stand behind an overhead and without having to turn my backs on the students to write on the board. The Interwrite Pad can be handed to a seated student who can then write with it and explain their answers to the rest of the class. Students are excited to have the opportunity to write on the Interwrite Pad. The various graph backgrounds available have made it much easier to demonstrate graphing concepts to students."

"Thank you for asking us to tell you how we love the Interwrite Pad. There are many ways I use the Interwrite Pad in my classroom. We use it to correct sentences in Language. In math, we have used it to answer math problems, sharing how we figured out the different ways we answered the problem. We have watched Natural Disaster movies for Social Studies and Science. I have also used the Interwrite Pad to demonstrate how to create Excel documents. As you can see, I can use it in all the subjects that I teach. The students love to use it and it helps motivate the students to participate. Below are student’s comments on how much they like using the Interwrite Pad."
