The Decatur City Schools Foundation.

Making an impact on our children's education.

Celebrating 20 Years!

Since its start in 1992, the Foundation has remained dedicated to the success of the public schools within Decatur, and more importantly, dedicated to helping its students achieve success. Through the years, DCSF has provided more than $1.7 million to fund expanded opportunities for the schools and students of Decatur.

In the last 20 years, we have contributed to the schools in many ways. Some of the exciting programs the Foundation has helped implement include: 5th Grade Netbooks, ACT Preparation Courses, Innovation Program for Student Achievement, Leader In Me (7 Habits of Highly Effective People), Classroom Mini-Grants, International Baccalaureate Computers, 3rd Grade Violin Program, and Athelyne C. Banks Student Scholarships. Other programs supported by the Foundation over the years include Wetland’s Edge, Decatur – Austin Robotics Coalition, and more.  Read more about these initiatives on our Success Stories page.

The Foundation could not exist without the support and dedication of our community, especially our volunteers and donors. We thank you for contributing to our success and to the success of our schools!
